Intermate

40 years ago, on the 16th of November 1983 study association Intermate was founded. In 40 blossoming years Intermate has undergone several changes and evolved into the beautiful yellow association that we know now. It is the study association for all students from Psychology & Technology, Sustainable Innovation, Human-Technology Interaction, and Innovation Sciences. It is home to about 850 members, from which around 150 are active members.  

Intermate tries to look into the belonging of the above mentioned students, also considering its three pillars; career, education, and leisure. In 40 years we have seen that Intermate has grown from a small club, into a bigger association, with many active committees that organize several trips, activities, drinks, or sports tournaments.  

In its 40 years Intermate has also developed its own culture. Many members take their study breaks in our member space, the Internaat, and enjoy it with a game of foosball, making the NRC-puzzle, or enjoying a delicious cup of free coffee. Extending on its culture, Intermate also offers weekly TostCie Tuesdays and drinks, which are always ended with the song Piano Man and a dance. 

Starting on its DIES, the 16th of November, Intermate will celebrate its 40th birthday for an entire week. The lustrum committee has been busy planning all sorts of spectacular activities, which reflect our three pillars, our members, and the culture that has been developed over the years. As lustrum committee we want to give you the advice to enjoy the week to the fullest and to expect the unexpected!
